1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing and using the DocConverter service (hereinafter "the Service"), you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, as well as our Privacy Policy.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

If you do not accept these terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Service description

DocConverter is an online document conversion service that allows you to convert, merge, split, rotate and compress files in various formats (PDF, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

The Service is available via:

• The web interface accessible at the site address
• Authenticated access via a user account

3. Permitted use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. The following are strictly prohibited:

• Converting or processing files containing illegal, defamatory, obscene content or content that infringes third-party rights
• Attempting to circumvent Service limitations (quotas, file sizes, etc.) by any means
• Using automated scripts to exploit the Service abusively
• Reselling or redistributing the Service without prior written authorisation
• Creating multiple accounts to bypass limitations
• Attempting to decompile, disassemble or discover the source code of the Service
• Using the Service to store, process or transmit malware

4. User accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• The confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activities carried out from your account
• Keeping your personal information up to date
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and complete.

5. Subscriptions and payments

5.1 Free plans

DocConverter offers limited free access allowing a restricted number of conversions without registration. Unregistered users benefit from free trials as defined in the interface.

5.2 Paid subscriptions

Paid subscriptions offer unlimited conversions and access to all features. The following conditions apply:

• Billing: Subscriptions are billed at the chosen period (weekly, monthly, etc.)
• Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled
• Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard
• Refunds: Payments are non-refundable except as required by law

6. Your files

You retain full ownership of the files you submit to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your files solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

• You are solely responsible for the files you submit
• You warrant that you hold all necessary rights over the files processed
• You must keep a copy of your original files — we do not make backups

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind
• We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted
• We are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages
• We are not responsible for the loss, corruption or damage of your files

8. Intellectual property

The Service, its interface, source code, algorithms and all its components are protected by intellectual property laws and belong to DocConverter or its licensors.

You agree not to reproduce, copy, sell or commercially exploit any element of the Service without explicit written authorisation.

You are responsible for ensuring that the files you convert do not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard. Account termination does not entitle you to a refund of amounts already paid.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access without notice in the event of:

• Violation of these Terms of Use
• Fraudulent or abusive activity
• Non-payment of amounts due
• Legal obligation

In the event of Service closure, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance.

10. Changes to these terms

We may modify these Terms of Use at any time. In the event of a substantial change, we will inform you by email or via a visible notification on the Service.

Continued use of the Service after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
